Confetti Sugar Cookies

Bright, soft, and buttery cookies filled with rainbow sprinklesโ€”these are like a party in every bite!




๐Ÿ›’ Ingredients (makes about 24 cookies)

2 ยพ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

ยฝ tsp baking powder

1 cup salted butter, softened

1 ยฝ cups granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 ยฝ tsp vanilla extract

ยผ tsp almond extract (optional, but adds bakery-style flavor)

ยฝ cup rainbow sprinkles (plus extra for rolling)

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Heat to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.


Step 2: Make the Dough

1. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and baking powder.


2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).


3. Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.


4. Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.


5. Fold in ยฝ cup sprinkles.



Step 3: Roll the Cookies

1. Scoop about 1 ยฝ tablespoons of dough and roll into balls.


2. Roll each dough ball in extra sprinkles for a colorful outside.


3. Place on baking sheets about 2 inches apart.



Step 4: Bake

Bake 8โ€“10 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly soft.

Let cool on the baking sheet for 2โ€“3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
