
Carne Asada French Fries Recipe
Crispy golden fries topped with tender marinated steak, gooey cheese, and fresh toppings. One of our restaurant favorites made right at home!

๐ Ingredients
For the Carne Asada:
1 ยฝ lbs flank steak or skirt steak
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp lime juice (about 2 limes)
3 tbsp orange juice
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeรฑo, seeded & minced
ยผ cup chopped cilantro
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
ยฝ tsp black pepper
For the Fries:
1 bag (28 oz) frozen French fries (any kind works)
2 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (or a blend)
Toppings (customize!):
Sour cream
Guacamole or sliced avocado
Pico de gallo (or salsa)
Jalapeรฑo slices
Fresh cilantro
Hot sauce (optional)

Step 1: Marinate the Steak
1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, orange juice, garlic, jalapeรฑo, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Place steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish, pour marinade over, and refrigerate at least 2 hours (overnight for best flavor).
Step 2: Cook the Steak
1. Preheat grill or cast-iron skillet to high heat.
2. Cook steak 4โ5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until medium-rare to medium.
3. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
Step 3: Make the Fries
1. Cook fries according to package directions until crispy and golden.
2. Spread onto a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet.
Step 4: Assemble
1. Sprinkle hot fries with shredded cheese.
2. Broil in oven for 2โ3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
3. Top with sliced carne asada, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeรฑos, and cilantro.
Step 5: Serve
Dig in immediately while hot and cheesy!
