This is my popular brown butter rice krispies recipes. I have gotten so many compliments of these being buttery and flavorful. I make several batches at a time as it never lasts in my house!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Yields about 12-16 servings
1 Stick of salted butter(1/2 cup)
Rice Krispie Cereal (roughly 10 oz)
1 bag of mini marshmellows
3 tsp of vanilla extract
1. Over low heat, melt butter and continuously stir until its golden brown. You should see some darker pieces forming in the butter.
2. Take butter off heat and throw in the bag of marshmellows, vanilla and stir until almost completely melted together.
3. Mix in the cereal until well mixed together.
4. Spray non-stick spray (or use butter) a 9 x 13 pan, then pour the rice krispies into pan.
5. Gently press the rice krispies to shape them to the pan and let cool for 10 minutes then cut.
6. Package them in an air tight container or bag for 5 day shelf life.
